He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lovie Sue Clayton and Willy Louis Gentry; his daughters, Glenda Hoffman (Marty) of Shelbyville and Elaine Chamberlain of Hillsborough, N. C.; his stepchildren, Diane Lee (Mike) of Dallas, N. C. and Richard Bradshaw of South Carolina; and his siblings, Pauline Carton of Roxboro, John Lewis Gentry of Norfolk and Wesley Hamlet of Knoxville, Tenn.. He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
