He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alfred, J. Ray (Louisville), Jacob, Eva Lee Dobbins, Lois May Dobbins, Avanell Moody, JoAnn Lancaster and Ruby Jean Moody; and his daughter-in-law Miriam Agee Dobbins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Dobbins (Short); his children, Deborah Blaylock (Richard) and Robert Dobbins (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Allison Blaylock, Jonathan Dobbins (Marshall), Kaitlyn Browning (Lance), Jared Blaylock and MaryBeth Dobbins; his stepgrandchildren, Anya Coursen, NadyezhdaCoursen and Nikolai Coursen; his great grandchild Whitley Dobbins; and his brother Jack Dobbins (Charmaine). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Samaritan's Purse.
