He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Patterson and Mozelle Lucille Murray Patterson; and his siblings, Mildred Markham, Lydia Ferrell, George Patterson, Jack Patterson, David Patterson and Wayne Patterson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Crystal Patterson and Anita Patterson; his wife Anita Patterson; and his sisters, Tina "Teeny" Hudson, Sandy Patterson, Carol Hughes, Debra Purser and Hilda Jenkins.
During the Covid quarantine he shared his knowledge of farming and maintaining a garden with his daughter, Crystal.
