He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelly Emory Punch and Minnie Lee Poovey Punch; his wife Margie Marie Rhoney Punch; and his siblings, Harold Odell Punch, Ralph Emory Punch, Charles Everette Punch, Elsie Lee Punch of Hickory and Ruby Elizabeth Punch of Hickory.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Punch Mason (Doyt); and his grandsons, Matthew Christopher Mason of Hickory and Nathan Reid Mason of Chapel Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
