It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Ray Marshburn (Hildebran, North Carolina), born in Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Lamuel Hugh; and his wife Sharon Jones Marshburn. He is survived by: his parent Sudie Bessie Marshburn; his wife Martha Faye Laxton Marshburn of Bethlehem, NC; his children, David Ray (Julie) of Morehead City, Brenda Marshburn-Little (Tom), William Eason "Bill" (Cynthia) of Connelly Springs, NC and Angela Louise Marshburn of Hickory, NC; his stepsons, Thomas Allen Laxton (Debbie) of Taylorsville, NC and David Dean Laxton (Sonia) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Naaman Ray (Kristen), Michael David, Megan Ivy and Joshua Eason; and his daughter Ellie Brooks.
