He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Walker Oakley; and his son Lynwood Smith, Jr.. He is survived by: his father Willie Everette Oakley; his wife Gail Oakley; his children, Travis Smith, Heather Wrenn Roberts (Brandon), Russell Oakley (Anna) and Cody Oakley (Emilia); his grandchildren, Travis, Trey, Hailey, Emma, Sarah, John, Caroline and Easton; and his siblings, Keith Oakley (Dayle), Penny Stone (Mike) and Tammy Tarlton (Bobby).
