She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Solomon and Lorena Odom Townsend; and her husband Jack Ray Hodges, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Jack Ray Hodges, Jr. (Shawn), Kimberly Hodges Oliver (Andy), Andy Joel Hodges (Kristy), Ann Hodges Smith and Jeremy Lewis Hodges (Angie); her siblings, Carolyn Finley and Floyd Townsend (Patsy); and her grandchildren, Joshua, Lydia, Aaron, Ethan, Matt, Hannah, Haley, Molly, Madison, Kennedy and Bella. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Berkeley or Medi Home Hospice in Betty's name.
