Opal McCall Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2024, at the age of 93, Opal McCall of Highlands, North Carolina, born in Macon, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Opal shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Opal farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lawrence Bryson and Ellie Lazelle Talley Bryson; her husband Amos Edward McCall; and her son Stevie William McCall. She is survived by: her sons, James "Jimmy" Edward McCall (Nancy), Emory Wayne McCall (Becky) and Gary McCall; and her sister Mae Ivester (Dennis). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blue Valley Baptist Church (220 Main St, Highlands, NC 28741). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
