He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Richmond McCall and Dovie Smith McCall; his former wife Della Keener McCall; his granddaughter Cynthia McCall; and his siblings, Virgil McCall, Carey McCall and Hazel Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Dendy McCall; his sons, John Wayne McCall (Julie) of Highlands, NC, Grover Ray McCall, Jr. and Lynn of Franklin, NC; his stepson Timothy Shirley of Franklin, NC; and his sisters, Elberta Chastain of Walhalla, SC, Edith McDowell of Franklin, NC and Mavis Jones of Stone Mountain, GA.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date when all the health restrictions with the Covid 19 are over.
