Wilbur Cornelius Smoot Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 29, 2024, at the age of 94, Wilbur Cornelius Smoot of High Point, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Welborn Smoot and Frances Katherine McDowell Smoot; his siblings, Carl Smoot, Gaston Smoot, Alvas Smoot and Evelyn Smoot McKeel; and his wife Martha Lorraine Lanham Smoot.
He is survived by: his children, Norbert Smoot (Susan) of Trinity and Amber Smoot Kelley (Mark) of High Point; his grandchildren, Emily Smoot Smith (Robert) of Winston-Salem, Zoe Kelley Kreipe (Nolan) of St. Mary's, Georgia, Aidan Kobe Kelley and Campbell Quinn Kelley; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte Wilson Smith and Elizabeth Hamilton Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
