We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2018, Thomas Edward Smothers (High Point, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his parents, Fred Eston Smothers and Lettie Ellington Smothers; his wife Becky; his children, Rick (Joanna) of Wrightsville Beach, Tom (Debbie) of High Point and Beth (Shawn) of Bennettsville, SC; his grandchildren, Erin, Jes, Sara, Becca and Ashley; and his sister Lucy.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be given to the YMCA Men's Bible Study, PO Box 5351, High Point, NC 27262, High Point Regional Foundation, 601 N. Elm Street, High Point, NC 27262 or Penny Byrn at Maryfield, 109 Penny Road, High Point, NC 27260.
