He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Linwood and Mary Williams Baker; and his former wife Shirley Worrell Baker. He is survived by: his wife Donna Baker; his brother James Baker (Booty) of Portsmouth; his daughters, Deborah Baker Golden (Mike) of Winston Salem, NC, Linda Baker Lilly (David) of Greenville, SC and Jill Baker Cole (Brad) of Cary, NC; his grandchildren, Ben Lilly (Katie), Sara Lilly, Lauren Golden, Parker Golden, Hudson Cole, Harper Cole and Thomas Baker Cole (Toby); his great grandchild Robin Kathleen Lilly; his stepdaughters, Anne Heymann (Gavin) of Chapel Hill, NC, Mary Grace Baxendale of Portland, OR and Sarah Baxendale of Greensboro, NC; his stepgranddaughters, Helen and Clara Grace Heymann; and his sister-in-law Sue Ann Thomas (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
