She was predeceased by: her parents, James Fausta and Olive Lundy Overby; her husband Herbert "Herb" M. Golden; and her brothers, R. Bruce Overby and James.
She is survived by: her daughters, Holly Smith (Neal) of High Point and Sami Hanks (Kevin) of Belmont; her grandchildren, Kristin Meyerhoeffer, NJ Smith, Abbi Goerk (Jonathan), Mitch Hanks (Carrie Ann) and Ellie Hanks; her great grandchildren, Sophie Meyerhoeffer, Levi Meyerhoeffer, Sylvia Goerk and Everette Goerk; and her sister Carole Stein (Ed) of Baltimore, Maryland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cumby Family Funeral Service - High Point (1015 Eastchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262; or to Sandy Ridge Methodist Church, 2223 Sandy Ridge Road, High Point, NC 27265.
