She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter M. Davis and Mary Jeanette Nichols Davis; her husband J. C. "Jim" Murphey; her grandson James Allen Murphey, Jr.; and her siblings, Anna Lee Alexander and Carl Davis.
She is survived by: her children, James Allen Murphey (Terri) of High Point and Mary Ann Sedberry (Phil) of High Point; her grandchildren, Anthony Sedberry (Jeannie), Michael Sedberry (Shelly), Robert Murphey, Monica Stevens and Josh Tysinger (Casey); her brother Wayne Davis of Elkin; and her nieces, Linda, Diane and Martha. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
The family request that memorials be given to Lebanon United Methodist Church, 237 Idol Street, High Point, NC 27262.
