He was predeceased by: his father Howard Marion Ellis. He is survived by: his mother Audrey Christine Duggins Gann of High Point; his children, Roger Nolan Ellis, Jr. (Angel) of Trinity, Randy Lee Ellis of Trinity, Timothy DeWayne Ellis of Trinity, Kandy Leigh Ellis of Trinity and Jennifer Kristine Ellis of Trinity; and his siblings, James Odell "Jimmy" Ellis of Thomasville and Amy Christine Isom of Archdale. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
