He was predeceased by: his son Robert Lynn Tedder; and his siblings, Buddy Tedder and Beulah Bowick. He is survived by: his wife Helen G. Tedder; his daughter Debra Tedder Chubb (Spence); and his grandchildren, Cory, Eric Chubb, Clancy 'Doc' Tedder, Kate, Joe, Alison and Paige Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262.
