He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Holeman Bass; and his brother James Alexander Bass, Jr.. He is survived by: his father James Alexander Bass; his friend Parkinsons; his wife Jane Lee Chandler (Janie); his children, Robert Edwin Bass, Jr. (Martha McAllister Bass) and Lee Chandler (Harold Stuart Nunn, Jr.); and his grandchildren, Jane Chandler Nunn and Harold Stuart Nunn III.
