He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell Oden Brooks and Vivian Louise Rice Brooks; and his son Dustin Hannah. He is survived by: his significant other Karen Hannah; his daughters, Christy Hinman (Buddy) of Gulf Shores, AL and Lindsey Garris (Jeremy) of Winston Salem, NC; his siblings, Bill Brooks (Sherry) of Baton Rouge, LA and Carolyn Coleman of Alabama; his grandchildren, Trevor (Lauren), Tristan, Trayce, Trenton, Trinity, Ashley, Hayley and Mikayla; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Daniel, Emilia and Jaxson.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Wright Funerals-Cremations (1720 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
