He was predeceased by: his father Bobby Hugh Safrit. He is survived by: his mother Mary E. "Betty" Safrit; his wife Deborah Cox; his siblings, Jayn Swaim (Ed) and Hal Safrit (Nancy); his aunt Janet Hughes; his nephew Alex Safrit; and his nieces, Lindsay Swaim and Catherine Safrit. He is also survived by numerous cousins and their children.
