He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Proffit and June Myrtle Proffit of Florida; his wife Mattie "Kathy" Richards; his children, Jill Bohannon of Bristol, VT, Catherine Kwon of High Point, Thomas Richards of High Point and Chad Richards of High Point; his siblings, June Erickson of Middleboro, MA, Darlene Sepra of Tauntin, MA and Jeff Brown of New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Chelsey, Justin, Jenna, Carson, Caden, Kayleigh, Tyler, Joel, Gavin and A. J.; and his brothers, Jerry and Don Proffit. He was also cherished by four great grandchildren.
