She was predeceased by: her parents, Govan Tate, Sr. and Roamie Alford Tate; her husband Buford Clemons; her children, Connie Hayes, Larry and Ronnie Jones; and her siblings, Annie Helen Reid, Mary Frances, Notural Leach, James Bo Tate and Govan Tate, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Annette Jones, Donica Jones, Terrie Manning, Thomas Jones of High Point, NC, Keith Jones of Smyrna Ga and Tony Clemons of Los Angeles, CA; her niece Dr. Cathy E. Pickett of High Point, NC; and her grandchildren, Monica Ingram (Jeff), Christopher Gay (Desmone), Bronna Davis, Rodney Rogers, Jonathan Jones of High Point, NC, Tuanetta Wall, Tatum Covington Jones of Charlotte, NC, Alexandra Clemons of Dallas, Lakeitha Shana Jones of Jacksonville, FL and Tyrell Menefee of Smyrna, GA.. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
