He was predeceased by: his parents, McLendon Smith and Nellie Hough Smith; his grandparents, Arlee and Ardenia Dumas Hough; and his cousin Darrius Hough.
He is survived by: his children, Dorian Buie and Christopher Alford; his siblings, Debbie Smith of High Point, NC, Tina Smith (Jeremy) of Thomasville, NC, Kenny Hough of High Point, NC and Adrean Smith of High Point, NC; his aunts and uncles, Shirley Foster, Deborah Hough of High Point, NC, Geraldine Neal, Rose Alston of High Point, NC, Terry Hough of High Point, NC, Robert Hough (Inez) of Thomasville, NC, Wallace Hough of Winston-Salem, NC and Andre Hough of Conover, NC; and his close friend Gwen Tomlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Service Chapel (1810 Brockett Ave, High Point, NC 27260).
