He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Hayes and Annie Mae "Pat" Myers Hayes; and his brother Robert "Bob" Hayes. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy and Julie; his sister-in-law Joanne Hayes of Mebane; and his nephew Alan Hayes.
