He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Saunder and Cora Lee Carter; and his sister Carol Ann Carter. He is survived by: his children, John Carter, Jr. (Madria) of Ft. Wayne, Billy Carter of Tennessee, Jonque Johnson of High Point, NC, Camishia Ross (Mike) and Cameria Jackson of Tacoma, WA; his grandchildren, Trinity Carter, Darius Carter and John D. Carter; his niece Tabitha Carter of Rural Hall, NC; his nephew Rodrick Carter (Laura) of Winston Salem, NC; his sister-in-law Kimberly Johnson of High Point, NC; his close friend Betty S. Jackson of Tacoma, WA; and his friends, Sade of Geraldine Crawford and Flo May. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
