He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marlin Brumley Sr. and Sara Setzer Brumley; his wife Carol Brumley; and his sister Jane Hewitt. He is survived by: his children, Caroline Hawley of Asheboro, Mark Brumley (Jennifer) of Asheboro, Steven Brumley (Shelia) of Asheboro and Jon Brumley (Jill) of Apex; his brother William Brumley (Diane Dufour) of Sullivan's Island; and his stepsons, Todd Jones (Audrey Jones) of Charlotte and Chris Jones of Asheville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; a great grandchild.
