With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jess Ray Stapleton (High Point, North Carolina), born in Ironton, Ohio, who passed away on May 27, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stapleton and Dorothy Martin Stapleton; and his daughter Jessie Sue Stapleton Bare. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Hall Stapleton; his children, Beverly Tucker (John Tucker) and Jerry Stapleton; his grandchildren, Joshua Bare, Sarah Jones, Casey Bare, Katie Small, Jay Stapleton, Joanna Stapleton and Melanie Dawn Stapleton; and his siblings, Freda Meadows and Forest Stapleton. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
