He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Medlin and Elsie Aikens Medlin; his granddaughter Lily Grace Medlin; and his siblings, Marie Rider and Claude Medlin.
He is survived by: his children, Candace Kennedy (Kevin) and Brian Medlin (Penny); and his grandchildren, Christin Kennedy, Corey Powers and Chance Medlin.
