He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wardlaw and Sallie Mae Wardlaw (Quarles); and his siblings, Etha Mae Walker, Jessie Lee Ware, Carrie Lou Lee, Robbie Wardlaw, Francis Townsend, Rebecca Leonard, John, James Odell, Joe, Haywood and David.
He is survived by: his sister Josephine Bailey of High Point, NC; his children, Barbara Miles (Royland) of Clayton, NC, Rhonda Mitchell (Vernon) of Winston Salem, NC, Teresa Gray of Covington, GA, Gwendolyn (Shannon) and Xavier Lawson (Nelrisa) of Burlington, NC; and his grandchildren, Elijah, Brianna, Lamaya, Ania, Xaja, Ahlani and Arionna. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
