She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lee and Rosa Owen Asbill; her husband Howard Gibson "Buddy" Bowen; her son Howard Gibson "Gibbie" Bowen, Jr.; and her siblings, Zelma Blackburn and Quay Asbill.
She is survived by: her sister Rosa Staley; her children, Roma Angel (John) of High Point and Gary Bowen (Natasha) of Randleman; her granddaughters, Julie Jordan Joyce Harris (Mike Few) and Isabella Bowen; and her great grandchildren, Maren Harris and Harper Harris of High Point.
