He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Peele and Allie Whitaker Peele; his son Wayne Peele; his sisters, Verna Douglas and Faye Coltrane; and his great grandchild Annie Peele.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Peele of High Point; his children, Cindy Shepherd of Trinity and Kevin Peele (Melinda) of Archdale; his stepson Dale Asbill (Carol) of Maryland; his siblings, Jim Peele of Trinity, Mildred Byrd of Greensboro and Maxine Cox of Garner; his grandchildren, Aresa Erb (Eric) of Trinity, Kimberly Nelson (David) of Salisbury, Daniel Peele (Becky) of Archdale and Bryan Peele of Raleigh; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Erb, Nathanael Erb, Hannah Erb, Gabby Erb and Jonah Peele. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
