She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Caviness and Bessie Ann Hilliard Caviness; and her siblings, Mary Caviness Shope, Beulah Mae Caviness Hicks, Bertha Mozelle Caviness, Calvin Caviness and Floyd Caviness.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Reid Zimmerman; her children, Robin Zimmerman Rizzo (Richard) of Oak Ridge and Reid Alan Zimmerman (Stephanie) of Thomasville; her grandsons, Anthony Jacob Rizzo of Huntersville and Dalton Reid Zimmerman of Wilmington; and her siblings, Geroge Caviness (Josette) of Sanford, James Caviness, Jr. (Martha) of Sanford and Carolyn Caviness Litz (Larry) of Bristol, VA.
