She was predeceased by: her parents, James Griffin and Effie Pulley Griffin; her husband Eulas "Bill" Edward Hight; her son David Hight; and her siblings, James Griffin, Ed Grissom, Carl Grissom and Margie McDowell.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Hight (BJ) of Winston-Salem and Pam Blackburn (Paul) of Thomasville; her granddaughters, Gina Sechrist (Darrell) and Lauren Miller (Hunter); and her great grandchildren, Ethan Sechrist and Christian Sechrist.
