She was predeceased by: her parents, Agatha Calloway Parsons and Edmond Blackburn Parsons; her husband George Whitesides, Sr.; and her sisters, Louise Parsons Hepler, Carolyn Parsons Charles and Madge Parsons Smith.
She is survived by: her son George Whitesides, Jr. (Susan); her grandchildren, Holland Whitesides (Andy Bryant), Julia Whitesides and George Henry Whitesides III (Ellen); and her great grandchildren, Beatrice Bryant, Corva Bryant, George Henry Whitesides IV, Linnea Bryant and James William Whitesides II. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
