She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Fosberry and Malcolm Chadwick; her husband Charlie; her siblings, Blanche King, Hubert and Harold Chadwick; and her grandson-in-law Michael Mandel.

She is survived by: her pet Champ; her daughter Pamela Chavis (Marvin); her granddaughters, Heather Farrer (Dale) of Aiken, SC and Michelle'Mandel (Jerad Jeffries) of Aiken, SC; her great grandchildren, Tyler Farrer (Graysen) of Dalzell, SC, Nicholas and Nathan Mandel of Aiken, SC; and her great great grandchild Jackson Farrer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be in Dorothy's memory to the Foundation Fighting Blindness P. O. Box 45740, Baltimore, MD 21297-5740.
