She is survived by: her children, Ernest "Ernie" Newton, Jr. (Penny) of Winston-Salem and Kay Hunt (Rick) of High Point; her sister Maybeth Thomas; her grandchildren, Christy Palmer (Donald), Bradley Hunt (Carrie), Scott Newton (Dacia) and Marcy Newton; and her great grandchildren, Logan Palmer, Madison Carroll (Nolan), Jackson Palmer, Grady Newton, Emery Newton, Lincoln Newton, Ezra Newton, Reece Hart, Cooper Hunt and Sutton Hunt.
