She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Hayes, Sr. and Margie Viola Hayes; and her brothers, James Hayes Jr., Theodore Hayes (Odessa) and Lonnie Hayes.
She is survived by: her sister Bernice Harris; her sister-in-law Molly Hayes; her nieces and nephews, Eric Hayes (Deborah) of High Point, N. C., Phyllis Johnson (Curtis) of Thomasville, NC, Celia Glover (Tony) of High Point, NC, Gwendolyn Kindle of High Point, NC, Clifton Colbert of High Point, NC and Willie Colbert (Robbin) of Thomasville, NC; her great-niece Yvette McCollum; and her close friend Brownie Mae Miller. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great greatgrandchildren.
