He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Dwight and Cleo Vivian Rider Shelton; his wife Juanita Marie Huff; his grandson Andrew Shelton; and his sister Linda Faye Cline.
He is survived by: his sons, Dave Shelton (Elaine) of Kernersville and Dan Shelton (Amy) of High Point; his brother Dwight Shelton, Jr. (Sylvia) of Blacksburg, VA; and his grandchildren, Victoria Craig (Alex), Nicholas Shelton, Eric Shelton and Brian Shelton.
