He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Denny and Mary Denny; his sister Doris; and his wife Deane Denny (Poodle). He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Smith; his son-in-law Ken Smith; his sister Nell Shepard of Darlington; his grandchildren, Rob Smith and Julie Wetmore (Eddie); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Elisha, Erynn, Isaac Wetmore and Parker Smith.
In lieu of flowers, "Pops" would ask that donations in his memory be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, mailed to Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of your choice.
