He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Hodgin Garrett; and his parents, Clyde Coffer and Lucy Fraley Garrett. He is survived by: his children, Sandy Baker of Greensboro, Debbie Harris of Greensboro and Steven Garrett of Charlotte. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Community Baptist Church (1330 Burnetts Chapel Rd, Greensboro, NC 27406).
