He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pickenpack, Sr. and Mae Hester Diggs Pickenpack; and his siblings, Joseph Pickenpack, Jr., Frankie Lee Pickenpack, Mildred Dockery and Julia Ann Harmon.
He is survived by: his sisters, Delois Binion, Patricia Edwards, Betty Emerson, Dorothy Pickenpack, Sherlina Pickenpack and Katherine Pickenpack. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
