He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ferdinand Sr. and Marie Elmer Carson. He is survived by: his wife Vivien Johnson Carson; his children, Randy Carson (Lisa) and Catherine Foster (Allen); and his grandchildren, James, Mia, Josh Carson, Samantha, Grant (Daytona) and Grace Foster. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Memorial arrangements will be made after restrictions for COVID-19 have been lifted.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Residents Care Fund at Pennybyrn, 109 Penny Road, High Point, NC or to Jamestown Presbyterian Church, 1804 Guilford College Road, Jamestown, NC, 27282.

“So sorry for your lose . I just got my computor back in working order and read the obit. I guess you new donnie lane passed away also. So sorry to hear about ferd. I remember the last time we were together at tempies , my husband pete played bass guitar for ferd. Pete passed away oct. 2011 not to long after that get together.
