He was predeceased by: his parents, Brady Easley McCroskey and Gladys McCroskey (Presley); his spouse Jean Johns; and his brothers, Paul Curtis McCroskey, Alex Herbert "Herb" McCroskey, Harvey McCroskey, William "Bill" McCroskey and Luther Elwood "Luke" McCroskey.
He is survived by: his sister Juanita DeTarville of Tacoma, Washington; his son Bobby McCroskey (Lorie) of Archdale, NC; his stepchildren, Gwen Johns of Archdale and Charles "Chuck" Johns (Tamara) of Boise, ID; his sisters-in-law, Mary McCroskey of Flat Rock, MI, Betty McCroskey of Jenkinjones, WV and Ruby McCroskey of Rocky Gap, VA; his grandchildren, Priscilla McCroskey of Cary, NC and Jack McCroskey of Raleigh, NC; and his former wife Melitta Robinson of Jamestown, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, Fresh Life Church in Archdale, or the donor's charity of choice.
