“What Mr. Bobby did not know, was that he was mentoring me as well. I appreciated his kind heart and humble spirit. He always kept a positive outlook on life and we had frequent conversations about Christ. Although I am sad to experience his passing I believe he is in the hands of our Lord. I pray the Spirit of our Lord comforts of his wife, whom he always spoke about, and his family. Thank you all for having shared Mr. Bobby with us.”

“My name is Britton Higgs. I am the Site Coordinator for African American Male Initiative (AAMI), the mentoring program at Wiley Elementary in Greensboro. Mr. Bobby signed on to be a mentor for two young men in our program. He worked hard in trying to help our young men, often time just getting off the road and coming straight to Wiley. He wasn’t working with our boys for any self gratification, or any acknowledgment. He was there because he cared and had a heart for those young men.”
