He was predeceased by: his parents, William Albert Sykes, Sr. and Doris Howerton Sykes; and his siblings, Roth Sykes and Suzanne Sykes. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Cathy" Daniels Sykes; his sisters, Amy Gilkerson of Charlottesville, VA and Beth Williams (Rob) of Nashville, TN; his cousin Lucinda Sykes of Mebane; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Daniels of New London, NC and Harold Daniels (Terry) of Conway, SC. He is also survived by many special friends and nieces and nephews.
