She was predeceased by: her parent Simmie; her son John L. Bridges; her great grandchild Johnathan Bridges; her siblings, Charles, Simmie Jr., John Bridges (June), Dorothy Cook, Emma Fairley, Aggie Pouncy and Maggie Butler; her son-in-law Henry Parson; and her spouse Marine Deville Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Clara Mae Parson; her grandchildren, Damien Bridges (Ashley), Dominique Parson and Jamila Hunter (Thomas); her sister Ann Hayes; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Green Bridges; her brother-in-law Earl Butler; her goddaughters, Angelica Davis, Minnette Stewart and Minae McCormick; her nephews, Dexter Pouncy and Jonathan Roach; and her close friends, Ernestine Hoke, Mary Gillespie and Edna White. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
