She was predeceased by: her mother Nora "Avis" Gann Goins; her stepfather Lacy Alfred Goins; her former husband Earl Junior Ward; her children, Margaret "Earlene" Ward, Earl Anthony "Tony" Ward and John Gray; her grandsons, Russell "Russ" Ward and Thaddeus "Thad" Purvis; and her sister Lynda Butler.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Gray; her daughter Annette Ward Hill (Tim) of Newport News, Virginia; her granddaughter Dawn Loudenback (Joe) of Smithfield, Virginia; her sister Velma Burcham of Stoneville; her daughter-in-law Jacqueline "Jackie" Ward of Stoneville; and her great grandchildren, Zachary "Zach" Loudenback, Victoria Jennings and Tiffany Lanier. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
