She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence William Ballard and Rosa Lee DeWitt Ballard; and her siblings, Charlene Russ Fabiyi and David Mulligan. She is survived by: her husband Roger Houston; her children, Tiffany Ballard (Anthony) of High Point, Dawane Judson of High Point, Roger Jamal Houston of Biloxi, MS, Romar Houston and Rodrea Houston of Gautier, MS.; her grandchildren, Nicole Ballard, Latisha Brown of High Point, Elnisha Judson, Amari Judson of Pascagoula, MS, Cayden Ballard and Paris Ingram of High Point; her siblings, Mary Jenkins of Middletown, RI, Donna James of Providence, RI, Ora Wiggins of Portsmouth, RI, Michael Ballard of Jacksonville, NC and William Ballard of Sugar Hill, GA; and her close friend Mary Nagelhout. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family.
