He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Byrd and Eva Bruce Godfrey; and his siblings, James Wesley Godfrey, Allie Bruce Godfrey, John Price Godfrey, Wilma Godfrey Hill, Gladys Lucille Parker, Mary Lois Godfrey Brady, Maxine Godfrey Pharr and Ruth Godfrey Alexander.
He is survived by: his significant other Lois Pitts Godfrey; his daughters, Sandra Godfrey Johnson (Kenneth Redmond), Karen Godfrey Burke (Richard) and Janet Marie Godfrey; and his sister Dorothy Godfrey Herb.
