He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert Pitts Jr. and Lori Ann Pitts. He is survived by: his parents, Donnie Whitley and Carol P. Whitley; his wife Sandra Whitley; his children, Amber Mealer of Statesville, Kayla Bass of Hiddenite, Kimberly Weatherman and Dillon Whitley of Statesville; his stepmother Nancy Whitley of Wilkesboro; his siblings, Selina Whitley Semones, Deborah Lynn Jones and Dwayne Pitts (Diane Pitts); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Trinity Johnson and Dakota Weatherman; his nephews, Matthew (Colton Pitts), Curtis and Sam (Michael Semones); his niece Lori Ann Pitts; his uncle Sammie Martin; and his aunts, Kathy VanNest and Patsy Stafford.
