As Roberta departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Roberta may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Roberta leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny Whitesides; and her son Stephen Peoples. She is survived by: her daughter Tiffany Taylor (Curt) of Tennessee; her brothers, Gary Cox (Tammy) of Statesville and Pete Cox (Ruth) of Morganton; her siblings-in-law, Libby Cox of Statesville and Alan Whitesides (Lisa) of Wilkesboro; her nieces, Nikki Miller (Gary) of South Carolina, Kasey Cox of Statesville and Brandi Cox (Brent) of Statesville; her cousin Jeff Peoples (Mary); and her pet Tiny. She is also survived by several great-nieces, nephews and friends.
